|A FREE Oral Cancer Screening Test - May 3rd, 2012!
In 2012, oral cancer is on the rise in Canada. The staggering statistics are that while 3 Canadians die every day from oral cancer, 10 more are diagnosed. At the time of diagnosis, most patients will not survive beyond 5 years. Amazingly, 1 in 4 of those patients diagnosed does not smoke.
Due to this alarming information, our dental practice is proud to introduce the Vizilite Plus examination. This adjunctive technology will allow us to find any abnormalities at the earliest possible stage. This quick and painless test will be performed at your regular check-up appointments annually.
On Thursday May 3rd, 5-8pm, we are going to have a FREE oral cancer screening test. Feel free to bring your friends and family for this great offer. Please call to schedule your appointment as soon as possible! Limited space available.
We continually strive to provide our patients with the highest standard of care and we know that better screening saves lives!

|The Importance of Regular Dental Examinations
Why does your dentist want to schedule another appointment with you so soon - even if today's oral examination was perfect?
Regular dental visits are essential to maintaining healthy teeth and gums. For maximum benefit, a good home care regimen must be supplemented with an examination at least every six months. Depending on the status of your oral health, your dentist may recommend more frequent visits.
Several months after cleaning, teeth can have plaque build-up as well as stains from food, beverages, tobacco, etc. Over time, plaque build-up can harden into tartar (or calculus) formation.
